four wheeling then Byron Maine is the place to start your adventure.
Access to over 200 miles of trails is located right outside the cottage
door. Our trail system is maintain by two local clubs that
interconnects with the towns of Andover, Roxbury, Mexico Weld, Phillips
and Madrid. We are members of the
River Valley Riders ATV Club.

Hiking:
Tumbledown Mountain
is one of Maine’s most popular hikes. Sweeping views, rocky slopes, and
a large high-elevation pond attract many visitors to Western Maine.
Parking and trail access is only 10 miles from Coos Cottage.
Angel Falls is the tallest waterfall in the
State Of Maine. It is accessible by a short hiking trail off Route 17,
just north of ByronIs located in Township D.

Appalachian Trial System crosses Route 17 immediately
adjecent to Height of Land turnout, approx. 5 miles from Coos Canyon.
Snowmobiling:
Byron grooms over 100 miles of local snowmobiling trails, these local marked trails are maintained by the Roxbury
Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club.
